• Al-Solouk: Two departments have been established to develop health investment and commitment to stimulate the business sector

    The Director General of the health Affairs in the Eastern Province, Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Solouk, sad that the observations of the health sector in the Eastern region is fewer in comparison to other regions in the Kingdom, as the percentage of communications concerning complaints of health facilities in the Eastern region within the lowest levels.

    He pointed out that the trend now is to strengthen private sector partnership to support the health sector in an effort to increase its contribution to the cost of health care by 2020.

    He said that the Ministry of Health is moving towards a shift from a service provider to a supervisory and regulatory role.

     

    This came during a meeting with the Health Committee in Asharqia Chamber at the headquarters of the Chamber in Dammam on Monday 17 September 2018. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Chamber's Health Committee, Saud bin Mohammed al-Thamiri.

     

    With regard to the reception and enforcement of transactions, Al-Solouk referred to the initiative of the Business Call Center, which is a new concept for the care of business customers in the private health sector. Its work is to provide several services, including: receiving requests in the ministry, follow up financial dues, receive inquiries and complaints of the Department of medical and control licenses on private health facilities, and receiving any comments or suggestions concerning the performance of the Ministry, the provision of data and information on investment in the private health sector.

    He also pointed out that the Ministry is currently studying the health insurance system by specialized committees of the Office of the fulfilling the vision of 2030.

     

    Al-Solouk noted that the Health Investment Development Department and the Compliance Department were established in line with the approved ministerial structure. The Investment Development Department encourages the investor in the private sector by facilitating procedures to obtain the required licenses as soon as possible.

    The Compliance Department monitors the implementation of regulations and instructions through field trips and scheduled campaigns.

    In this context, there will be self-assessment screens where the health organization will monitor itself according to the standards and requirements of the system in order to provide a good, distinctive and safe service.

     

    In conclusion, the Chairman of the Health Committee, Saud bin Mohammed Al-Thamiri, honored the Director General of the Eastern Region, Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Solouk, with a memorial shield.​
